Lary’s Speakeasy periodically receives requests from researchers seeking to share research opportunities with members of the laryngectomy community.
To help protect our members and ensure that research opportunities shared through Lary’s Speakeasy are appropriate, ethical, and relevant to our community, all research-related requests must be reviewed and approved prior to posting.
Submission of this application does not guarantee approval or distribution.
Approval to share a research opportunity through Lary’s Speakeasy means only that the organization has agreed to make information about the study available to its community. It does not constitute endorsement, sponsorship, recommendation, validation, or promotion of the study, its investigators, its institution, or its findings.
Approved Research Posting Process
If a research request is approved, Lary’s Speakeasy will work directly with the individual who submitted the request to develop and finalize the information that will be shared with the community.
All approved research opportunities will be posted by Lary’s Speakeasy through the organization’s official Facebook page. Researchers, investigators, study staff, or representatives are not permitted to independently post research studies, recruitment materials, survey links, or related research content within the Lary’s Speakeasy Facebook group.
Lary’s Speakeasy reserves the right to edit, shorten, format, or add organizational language to the proposed post while preserving the accuracy of the IRB-approved recruitment information.
Approval of a research request authorizes only the specific content and recruitment materials reviewed by Lary’s Speakeasy. Any additional posts, reminders, recruitment updates, extensions, or revised materials must be coordinated with and approved by Lary’s Speakeasy prior to publication.
Lary’s Speakeasy will determine the final wording, timing, format, and frequency of any research-related posts shared with its community.
