Lary's Speakeasy Partners With Imerman Angels To Connect Mentor Angels With The Laryngectomy Community
At Lary’s Speakeasy, we understand the challenges that come with a laryngectomy or glossectomy, whether it’s the surgery itself or navigating life as a part of the laryngectomy community. That’s why we’re excited to announce our partnership with Imerman Angels to connect individuals who are facing or have faced a laryngectomy with compassionate, experienced Mentor Angels.
Imerman Angels offers a personalized, one-on-one matching service that pairs those impacted by cancer—whether they’re fighters, survivors, or caregivers—with a Mentor Angel who has been through a similar journey. This valuable support helps ease the emotional and practical challenges during the toughest times.
Why Become a Mentor Angel?
As a Mentor Angel, you become an essential part of someone else’s journey, offering the connection, empathy, and support they need. Your own experience can provide invaluable guidance, helping others feel less alone and more confident as they navigate their new reality.
Mentor Angels are volunteers, and the support they offer is always free of charge.
If you have experience with a laryngectomy or glossectomy and feel moved to support others, we encourage you to consider becoming a Mentor Angel. If you or someone you know would benefit from a one-on-one connection with a Mentor Angel, don’t hesitate to reach out to us for help.
Together, we can make this journey a little easier for those who need it most.

About Lary's Speakeasy
A laryngectomy is the surgical removal of the voice box. After the surgery, patients are unable to talk. While many regain the ability to “voice,” the condition is permanent.
Lary’s Speakeasy is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides supplies to the laryngectomee community, 100% free of charge. We also provide support, education and advocacy for the patients and Speech Pathologists. We are an all volunteer organization and all funds go directly in support of our mission. Our Facebook group is the largest group for laryngectomees in the world.
