Electrolarynx (EL) Loaner Program Guidelines

Lary’s Speakeasy offers this Electrolarynx (EL) Loaner Program exclusively to Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) for the following purposes:

• To evaluate whether an electrolarynx is a viable communication option for a patient.

• To allow patients to trial a device before purchasing one.

• To provide SLPs or HCPs with an opportunity to gain experience using and training patients on electrolarynx devices.

Program Terms

• Lary’s Speakeasy will provide ONE (1) loaner electrolarynx at no charge.

• The borrowing SLP, HCP, and/or their facility assumes responsibility for the device.

• In the event the device is lost, stolen, or physically damaged beyond normal wear and tear, the borrower may be responsible for replacement costs of up to $500.

• The borrower is responsible for all return shipping costs.

• Loaner devices are generally provided for approximately 30 days. Extensions may be granted upon request and approval by Lary’s Speakeasy.

• Devices must be returned in good working condition.

• We can also provide information on how to obtain an EL for the patient, often with only a copay or in some cases, at no cost whatsoever.

Eligibility

This program is available only to licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and healthcare facilities. Loaner devices are not available directly to patients or the general public.
